It's all about Demura Sensei!

We, his many, many students are excited

to help him celebrate his 50th anniversary

of teaching Karate in the United States,

and all over the world.

For the past 44 years, in late February …

Demura Sensei and Shito-Ryu Genbu-Kai hosts 

the International Goodwill Karate Championships,

with competitors from around the world and locally.

This year there are even more special events.
Thursday is advanced dan (black belt level) training seminars.

Friday starts early with traditional "moichtsuki" (rice pounding)

followed by international dan testing and ...

Friday evening an advanced preview showing 
of the feature documentary about Demura Sensei, 

The Real Miyagi.

Kobudo, batto and iai-do training 

and a myriad of pre-tournament workshops on Saturday.

Saturday evening will be a very special black tie banquet.
