Day 1480: Pine Wood Garden

Geisha x2, junk mail collage & old calendar prints.

As mentioned here, Tuesday I went to Torrance early ...
partly to beat rush hour traffic on the 22 & 405, but also
to photograph the beautiful Japanese Pine Wood Garden.

A beautiful quiet spot within the Torrance Cultural Arts Center.

With authentic Japanese landscaping and architecture,

including a waterfall, koi pond, stone pathways ...

and a  two-tiered amphitheater.

Shade, cool breezes and the sound of water.

Can't you almost hear it?

The koi add a splash and the water gurgles.

Popular for receptions and weddings.

Really a beautiful, tranquil venue, right in the city.
A 3 minute video of this venue here.

A smile for Sunday ...
